Technology Assessment

We have worked with FIFA since 2017 to help shape the direction of electronic performance tracking systems (EPTS) in football.

This work includes:

  • Quality assessment of existing EPTS systems, including GNSS, LPS, optical and lower limb wearable providers

  • Development of standards to be implemented in the sport for various levels and regions

  • A roadmap to assess newly derived metrics from EPTS, such as those relating to load, acceleration, player gait and ball tracking

  • Assessment of broadcast tracking technologies

This work is currently extending to governing bodies in other sports which we collaborate with our many partners to deliver throughout the globe.
